layering stamps & dies sets launch on 8.6.19 at Create & Craft TV

Good evening all,

after a few weeks of silence i finally can reveal what i have been working on - these are my samples for the new product launch on Create & Craft TV on 8.6.19!
This stamp and die set is a layering stamp that allows to create beautiful multi-coloured wreaths as its layering! A matching die is included to allow easy die cutting of the stamped image!

There are six different stamp&die sets launching , and my second allocation from this series was the lovebirds, and here are my samples:

This set is so cute! you can change the colour scheme around so easily and always create a different and new look! this is something i really love about this product!
The last card is a rocking card and has a pendulum hidden inside to allow the birds to swing gently when the card is pushed down on on side.

There is a little video for the rocking birds card in my fb group as well as my fan page, and i will be doing a live tutorial in my fb group this weekend where i will show you in detail how i made this card!
Feel free to join my group, the link is in the right side column of this blog. just scroll down a bit to find it!

I am inviting you to watch the product launch on Create & Craft TV on the 8th of this month, and you will see all the different pictures, there is a super beautiful butterfly, a flamingo, a unicorn and a super cut teacups design in this collection, too!

There is so much to discover , trust me ,you don`t want to miss out on these! My personal favourite is the butterfly set, or is it the flamingo? The unicorn is also really magical... never mind, i guess i will buy the whole collection anyway once its become available!

Thanks for dropping by and i promise there is a lot more in the pipeline, waiting to be revealed!
Bye for now,

The Book Box

Hello folks,

here is my newest project, a very sturdy book box that measures 5" x 5"  x 2" .

I used the winter wonderland DSP from Crafters companion and their snowflake dies and leaves dies from the same theme to create the decorative elements.

You can watch a little teaser video here , featuring a second book box i created using the Moroccan paper range from Docrafts this time!

The second book box was created for the PDF tutorial which is now available in my Etsy store here:

The tutorial has more than 25 detail pictures in it in addition to detailed step by step instructions which will allow even beginners to follow the tutorial and successfully create their own version of the book box.

The tutorial is only £ 4.50 and your purchase allows me to fund my hobby and create more wonderful projects for everybody to enjoy, so thank you for supporting  me with your purchase, its much appreciated.

I added loads of flat headed Rhinestones to the outside of my boxes and the whole thing is very blingy but i love the extra sparkle!

This box is ideal for all sorts of keepsakes, as it has a inside lid to cover up its contents it is also a very nice gift box for a young girl to hide her secret possessions like love letters, photographs of loved ones or even their first make up items!

Anything really works and the box is a very pretty decoration on any shelf i think.

Thanks for dropping by today

Valentine bouquet in tuxedo card

Hello and  good evening

with Valentine`s day approaching fast i decided to work on a tuxedo card holding a burlap flower bouquet and a Valentine`s message.

The burlap flowers are all hand made and  the tuxedo card was decorated with the beautiful roses DSP from stampin up which i still have in my stash.

The die cut swirls are also SU and i think the bouquet looks very pretty.

Surely this is something unusual and yet simple and quick to make to surprise someone on Valentines day with a little love message.

I used pearls, Rhine stones and gem stones to decorate the card, the swirls and the burlap flowers themselves and think it all looks absolutely great together!

I`m not sure if i should do a tutorial on this as there are plenty tutorials out there already for tuxedo cards and burlap flowers.. however. let me know what you think and thanks for dropping by tonight!

I am off to complete my tax return tonight so i must admit its a bit last minute this year but never mind... i have to go now

bye folks and have a good night

How to create colourful 3D butterflies

Hello everybody

i just recently created this box and a lot of people asked about the butterfly.
So i decided to do a quick tutorial about it and i`m glad to say it`s just gone live on my Youtube channel.
You don`t need to head over now, just watch it here:

I have used the stamp and die set i had in one of my previous craft boxes that are from crafters companion, as mentioned before.
The butterfly has been coloured in with colorista markers from spectrum noir, but i explain all that in my tutorial!

What else can is say? The products are easy to use and create beautiful results, and the box as seen above was one of them!
It`s a whopping 7" x 4" x 2" and the lid was made from a hand coloured page of one of the colorista colouring blocks that crafters companion sell.

The card stock is very sturdy and has glittery accents all over it and it is a pleasure to colour them in and sort of create your very unique version of the specific motif and then use it as your own designer card stock!

The bottom of the box was made from stampin up  extra thick card stock as it was a perfect match to the sturdy lid.

I will bake some German cookies, fill the box with it and send it out randomly to one of my friends who said they loved the box as a surprise gift.

I`m so happy i found my mojo back and i hope you will give it a try and design your own 3 D butterflies as any stamp will do really!

Let me know how you got on and have a good night!

Large Cylindrical Flower Box

Hi everybody

today, i decided to give it a try and design a cylindrical box and this is the finished box.
I used my nesting circle dies and a compass as template makers, and the box is almost 4"  in diameter, 5 inches tall ( the bottom part) and richly decorated with paper roses and crochet lace trims.

The DSP i used to decorate the box is from stampin up, and was available as a freebie during the past Sale-A-Bration promotion.

I still had various ribbons and pearls in my stash which i also used to decorate the lid as you can see.
The roses and most decorations are glued down with hot glue and i managed to not burn any of my fingers this time!
Last time i burnt my finger badly and had a huge blister on for a few weeks. I do not recommend to test glue temp on skin when using hot glue guns..

Overall, it was quite easy to make this box, it got tricky when decorating the basic box with DSP.
This type of projects is ideal to use up left over ribbons, laces and tinsel trims... also , the paper roses are easy to make or can be purchased redy made for a few pounds only in most craft shops.

I like how the finished box looks  and just noticed that a tealight holder, that was given to me by my team member Catherine, perfectly fits into this box, so i can store it in there.
The style is very similar, so it looks a bit like the two were made for each other really!

Thanks for dropping by tonight and have a good evening

Explosion Box for 40th Birthday

Good evening everybody,

i was not posting for a few days because i have moved with my Studio 8 to a new venue, and now, everything will be even better than before!
With immediate effect, i am now running the Craft Cafe by JoJo at the Allendale Golf Course Club House, catering the many golf competitions and the Club House as well as running all my fabulous workshops at this venue!
The new dates will be listed shortly, but please bear with me because i am really busy with getting my Studio 8 craft room set up as well as a lot of private commitments i have to make, e.g. attending a funeral of a good friend of mine tomorrow afternoon.
Rest assured i am working really busily behind the scenes to get everything up and running but i also was obtaining all legal qualifications that are needed to run a catering business, which involved quite a bit of e-learning and assessments.
(I am happy to say i passed with flying colours and 97%, which i find quite good for a non native speaker.)

So this is my today`s make, an exploding box for my sister who turns 40 on May 8th, plus a cooking spatula handmade from birch wood that has the shape of a shark.
You must know that my sister is a passionate sailor who sails large yachts overseas and has also encountered sharks so the present for her birthday is a hint at her passion, too.

I love the brand new stamp set which i won at the Onstage local event in Telford earlier this year...
it will soon be available to order as May is approaching swiftly...
I combined Brushos and the Better together stamp set on white card stock, pear pizzaz and lemon lime twist card stock for the box and lid, i used the free embossing folder and the free ribbon we could get during the recent sale a bration promotion, die large numbers die set to cut my numbers and the happy birthday die as well.. the complete shopping list will be below this post as usual for easy reference.

The box was made from 12" x 12"  card stock in pear pizzaz, the lid was made from lemon lime twist  card stock with double layered sides for extra sturdiness.

I hope you like my little make here and i appreciate your feedback.
Happy crafting and don`t forget to join my facebook group if you haven`t done so yet, and please follow my blog, too.
There is a little video i made from this project, please find it here:

Thanks for dropping by today and bye for now
