Large Cylindrical Flower Box

Hi everybody

today, i decided to give it a try and design a cylindrical box and this is the finished box.
I used my nesting circle dies and a compass as template makers, and the box is almost 4"  in diameter, 5 inches tall ( the bottom part) and richly decorated with paper roses and crochet lace trims.

The DSP i used to decorate the box is from stampin up, and was available as a freebie during the past Sale-A-Bration promotion.

I still had various ribbons and pearls in my stash which i also used to decorate the lid as you can see.
The roses and most decorations are glued down with hot glue and i managed to not burn any of my fingers this time!
Last time i burnt my finger badly and had a huge blister on for a few weeks. I do not recommend to test glue temp on skin when using hot glue guns..

Overall, it was quite easy to make this box, it got tricky when decorating the basic box with DSP.
This type of projects is ideal to use up left over ribbons, laces and tinsel trims... also , the paper roses are easy to make or can be purchased redy made for a few pounds only in most craft shops.

I like how the finished box looks  and just noticed that a tealight holder, that was given to me by my team member Catherine, perfectly fits into this box, so i can store it in there.
The style is very similar, so it looks a bit like the two were made for each other really!

Thanks for dropping by tonight and have a good evening

Explosion Box for 40th Birthday

Good evening everybody,

i was not posting for a few days because i have moved with my Studio 8 to a new venue, and now, everything will be even better than before!
With immediate effect, i am now running the Craft Cafe by JoJo at the Allendale Golf Course Club House, catering the many golf competitions and the Club House as well as running all my fabulous workshops at this venue!
The new dates will be listed shortly, but please bear with me because i am really busy with getting my Studio 8 craft room set up as well as a lot of private commitments i have to make, e.g. attending a funeral of a good friend of mine tomorrow afternoon.
Rest assured i am working really busily behind the scenes to get everything up and running but i also was obtaining all legal qualifications that are needed to run a catering business, which involved quite a bit of e-learning and assessments.
(I am happy to say i passed with flying colours and 97%, which i find quite good for a non native speaker.)

So this is my today`s make, an exploding box for my sister who turns 40 on May 8th, plus a cooking spatula handmade from birch wood that has the shape of a shark.
You must know that my sister is a passionate sailor who sails large yachts overseas and has also encountered sharks so the present for her birthday is a hint at her passion, too.

I love the brand new stamp set which i won at the Onstage local event in Telford earlier this year...
it will soon be available to order as May is approaching swiftly...
I combined Brushos and the Better together stamp set on white card stock, pear pizzaz and lemon lime twist card stock for the box and lid, i used the free embossing folder and the free ribbon we could get during the recent sale a bration promotion, die large numbers die set to cut my numbers and the happy birthday die as well.. the complete shopping list will be below this post as usual for easy reference.

The box was made from 12" x 12"  card stock in pear pizzaz, the lid was made from lemon lime twist  card stock with double layered sides for extra sturdiness.

I hope you like my little make here and i appreciate your feedback.
Happy crafting and don`t forget to join my facebook group if you haven`t done so yet, and please follow my blog, too.
There is a little video i made from this project, please find it here:

Thanks for dropping by today and bye for now

Cute table decoration with Daisy Delight

Good evening friends,

today i made this little table decoration, which is going to be the tables centerpieces at the Allendale Golf Club Club House.

I used night of navy and whisper white card stock to stamp my daisy from the daisy delight stamp set, then punched the daisies out with the coordinating handheld punch.

I wired them with hot glue on the wire, then added a white pearl to the centers with hot glue, and mini glass beads in gold from my nail stash to decorate the centers of my daisies.
I think it looks really fresh and will look gorgeous on all the tables!

Little details like the pearl and golden mini glass beads up the whole appearance of the paper decoration and its so much fun making them , too!

I also die cut a few leaves from green card stock to add to the look, and i am very pleased with how much one can get out of a little effort really!

the pearls are 8mm plastic pearls from Aliexpress.com and the golden mini glass beads were from Aldi last year!
Aldi used to do a manicure set /nail art set and they included the mini beads in a small bottle. I thought this might be the ideal project to finally use them up!

I hope you like my arrangement and happy crafting!
Thanks for looking  and bye for now
