beautiful thank you card with a feather

A very warm hello and welcome back to my craft blog!

I have been absent for quite a few months because i really lost my mojo over certain people in the industry, and it took me this time to digest and recover from the experience i made.

However, it has resulted in something new for me and all of you because i have decided to quit the narrowness of being committed to only just one brand - i find that there are quite a lot of really amazing companies out there offering high quality products and my bandwidth of crafts i pursue makes it essential for me to have the liberty to choose what i need from where ever i can get it for the best price.
We all know that there is hardly any brand that covers it all really, does it?

So i have given up on being an exclusive SU demo only and have opened up to other brands that inspire me to create more fascinating things than ever before, just like the wonderful papers of Graphic 45 or all the lovely Crafters Companion products.

I do not only create paper crafts and cards, i do love making mini quilts and other sewing items too.
I also came across Powertex which is a totally different product from all i have used ever before, so it will be a much more mixed blog you will find in future here , with makes from the world of paper crafts, steampunk, sewing, Powertex!

It bores me to make a new card day in day out or another album over and over again and i want to live my creativity so i decided to go broadband which reflects my personality so much more than being bound to just one brand that limits me in several ways.

I do not say being a rep for any company is a bad thing, i still am myself, and i truly believe mlm is a great thing but at this stage of my development its just not the right thing for me and besides i can really do without the bitching in this industry.

Some people seem to just live for fb likes and virtual fame rather than working on their artistic expression and skill, and again, this is not who i am.

I define myself through my art , which includes makes form various corners of the spectrum, and that has ripened and led to the revamping of this blog.

I will carry on with free video tutorials but i will also develop tutorials that will be only available in my Etsy store to help me carry on with my art and craft.
At the end of the day paper, dies and stamps don`t come cheap and i wont to be able to keep things balanced.

The card i am presenting here today was made from stash i received in this month`s craft box from Sara Davies Crafters Companion, to which i have subscribed a few month ago and i believe this was my 6th box!

The feather was stamped on vellum, and heat embossed in copper, after that i coloured it in from the backside with metallic markers that also came with the box!
I love the effect and this technique surely is one to admire as the metallic effect just puts the whole card into another dimension!

The aperture card as well as the acetate was part of my box contents and i used the water based metallic markers to sprinkle some of the metallic ink on my card front .

The magic about these markers is they are water based and therefore allow to be diluted with water to even be able to create some watercolour effects with them.

Used undiluted and pure, they cover very well and leave a fascinating metallic shine that will give any creation a boost!

I hope you like this card and if you are interested, go to

Thanks for dropping by and hope you like my card here!

Hand coloured birthday card

Good evening dear friends,

and here is my 2nd make for today!
I love the butterfly and it was so much fun colouring it in. I used alcohol markers to colour the card in and practised my shading skills, too.
I love how the butterfly has come out and also the flowers look  lovely with the red dotted accents that i added to each petal.

I always love to use really large stamps to colour them in by hand and i do believe this kind of card is truly a gift in itself as so much work and time and also skill goes into creating them.
I love doing them and i think my next card` n cuppa event at Craft Cafe @Allendale Golf Course will be colouring in large stamped images!

If you are interested in attending, drop me a pm or Email to find out all details and/or to book your place.
Cost is £ 5 only and that includes all materials for the card and even a nice cuppa!

We always have a nice chat while crafting together and am always looking forward to meeting new people.
The card `n cuppa events are suitable for beginners, too as every card will be made step by step , it`s easy and you will make a card you never thought you would be capable of every time!

I also have a Facebook group, and if you havent joined yet, here is opportunity knocking on your door:

Thanks for dropping by tonight and happy crafting!

Elegant Card in Purple & Gold

Hi everybody,

today, i was working on two different cards and this is one of them.
It features the eastern beauty dies set and i used golden mirror card stock as the background for the purple die cut panel and i think it looks gorgeous!

Purple and gold always goes very well together and has some elegant touch to it so i did not add much other detail but the sentiment in white, picking up the colour of the main card to bring it all together.

My card here measures 5" x 7" and the panels are 1/4" smaller each time.

Very quick and easy make and surely suitable for a lot of occasions, just change the sentiment!

I hope you like this little card and thanks for dropping by

Dragonfly meets Rainbow

Hello and good evening everybody,

today i made this card in my brand new Studio at the Allendale Golf Course , where i have my Studio set up inside the Club House!

The Allendale Golf Course is open to all visitors and not just club members, and i run the Craft Cafe up there, too.
Besides the menu that has loads of freshly cooked foods and snacks on it, i run my paper craft workshops, cooking sessions and sewing workshops on a regular base in it.

Please visit & like my Facebook page to not miss out on the published events if you haven`t done so yet.
This is my Facebook page:

This card features the dragonfly die set and i created a rainbow colour fade effect to the dragonfly.
The embossing folder was a freebie in last`s Sale-A-Bration promotion and makes the card look so neat!

I am posting the material list below so you can see all the things i have used for this 5" x 7" card.

Thanks for dropping by tonight and hope to see you soon on one of my workshops!

Hi everybody

today i decided to make a card using my newest favourite stamp set, because i am so in love with the super cute Rhino!

We have a cup of tea together and i show you the newest design and you can try out all the lovely stampin up stamps and inks and pens to make your own card?

It`s just £ 5 per person and includes a cuppa plus all materials will be provided.. you don`t need to bring anything except maybe a friend who would like to come, too!

Beautiful Sympathy Card 7" x 7"

Good evening everybody,

today i was working on this card, which features the brand new stained glass vellum DSP. I coloured it in with the stampin blends and gave depth and added texture to the print by shading each  individual  diamond shape.
I designed my rose by die cutting the shape from black card stock, then glued my die cut rose on white card stock and coloured the rose in with the blends. After that , i  fussy cut the rose and layered it on my vellum with dimensionals.
I stamped my sentiment from a brand new stamp set that will become available by 1st of May as well as the vellum DSP, and die cut it with the stitched shapes framelits ovals.

I layered my sentiment on a second die cut oval in lemon lime twist, then layered my vellum DSP  with the rose and a organza ribbon to a white piece of card stock, that was 6 1/2"  x 6 1/2" wide.
I created a card base in lemon lime twist  in 7" x 7" and that was my card already done!

It is a more unusual colour choice for a sympathy card but i still think it is appropriate for the occasion. The stained glass windows like background gives the card a religious touch and a deep red rose surely is a decent choice for the occasion, too.

I quite like how this card has come out and i am very keen on the vellum DSP in the new catalogue, because it has the most amazing designs on it and i love colouring in so i  will surely buy more of it and make more of this type of cards from it.

I am getting excited anyway about the new catalogue launch, because it is full with the most amazing papers and new colours and i cannot wait to start working with all this wonderful stuff!

You will be able to browse the new products in my stampin up store very soon, just a few more nights and the new products go live!

Thanks for dropping by tonight  and have a great week!
