Gift Card Holding Card!

Good afternoon folks,

I was in need of a gift card holder and so i created this cute little card that has a gift card holder inside that can hold up to 4" x 4" cards or pictures or letters or whatever you want to put in the slot!

It closes by overlapping at  the front and a small tab that i created using the envelope punch board fits in a slit on the left card front.
I made a detachable medallion to cover the closure up but it is not needed to keep the card closed!
So this card base can be amended to your own taste easily.
Just chosing a different DSP wouldchange the whole look!

The card is very easy to make, and this is how i did it:

Cut 2 piece of whisper white card stock to 11 3/4" x 5  " and 5 1/4" x 5"
Score the large piece at 2" and 7 1/4"
Score the smaller piece at 2" and 3 1/8".

Fold and burnish your score lines, then glue the two 2" sections together in a way that you only add glue or tape to the very outer area of the card stock, because this is where you will slide in your card.
You cannot slide anything in of you put glue everywhere!
Once you have glued the two bits together, take your 2" circle punch and punch the half circle in the center of your gift card holder slot like you can see it in the pictures.
fold your card close in a way that the right front overlaps the left front.
take your envelope punch board out and punch the tab on the vertical side of your right card front , using the 1 1/2" mark on the left as well as on the right.

Now,  fold the card again and use a pencil to make 2 small dots in the punched out curvy bits that form your tab so that the marks will mark where the slit needs to go on the left front of your card.
Use a craft knife to cut your slit, and trim away the two bits to the left and right side of your tab too.
Now you can close your card by sliding thetab into the slit on the left front side!

For the circle medallion, use your stitched framelits die set and cut out 3 circles from card stock and Dsp as seen, layer with glue.
Take your 2" circle punch and punch out 2 circles from white card stock.
Glue the 2 white circles together on only one side, making it 50% of your circle glued to each other.
Now layer your bigger circles on top of your white circles to slide the medallion into the slit, too.

To decorate your Card with DSP, cut the following sizes:
  Inside: 4 3/4" x 5"
2 x 4 3/4" x 3 3/4"
4 3/4" x 3/4"

Voucher card 4" x 4"

Card slot: 2 x 4 3/4" x  1 3/4"

I forgot to write down the measurements of the front and back but you can just easily take the measurements from your own card i guess!

I hope you feel inspired by my creation and thanks for dropping by today!
