Simple gift box with a freely moveable tag

Hello and good afternoon

I am back with my second make for the day, a very pretty gift box made from hand colored in designer paper! and i coloured it in with my water color pencils and the blender pens.
Once the paper was finished, i cut it to
8 3/4" x 12" and scored at 2 3/4",5 1/2",8 1/4" and 11" on the long side.
I also scored the short side at 2 3/4" to create the bottom flaps.
I then cut the bottom flaps in on the score lines and got rid of the little rectangle on the bottom score line and glued my box together.
For the lid i cut a piece of  rose red card stock to 5 13/16" squared and scored at 1 1/2" on each side.
I then cut the small squares in to create my flaps to put my lid together.
For the top of my lid i die cut 3 panels from white and rose red card stock as seen in different sizes and layered them as seen, making a hole into the smallest one to feed a piece of ribbon through before layering the panels with dimensionals.
I secured the ribbon with wet glue on the back side.
To finish my box off, i decorated the lid with plenty of basic pearl embellishments and added a freely moveable tag to the lid by gluing my ribbon around the lid on 3 sides, whilst the 4th side was left without glue, so that the tag can be moved around.
The tag was made from 2 circles i punched out, 2" and 1 3/4", and the ribbon was used to form the loop. I used dimensionals to layer my tag.

I hope you love the way this box has come out, and i CASEd it from Ann Melvin, who did use the same paper pack for this kind of box first, but i changed measurements, the way the paper was coloured in and i added the tag and the lid decorations to make the box look more interesting, so there is loads to discover.

Thanks for dropping by today and  i hope you are enjoying  my blog!
Bye for now
JoJo xx
