Today i have created this little tutorial for you, my dear friends.
I cannot claim credits for the design as the idea seems to be originally from my sponsor Linda Parker !
This little box has a good size of 4,5 " x 2 3/4 " and is lined with a white insert that gives it a very elegant look.
If you love it as much as i do, why don´t you have a look at my tutorial here and give it a go yourself?
Crafting and sharing projects is so much fun and it´s so very inspirational to be part of the stampin up! demonstrator team!
I just love what i do and hope you catch the bug, too!
To start, you will need 2 pieces of coloured card stock and 1 piece of white cardstock, as seen i the picture in step 1.
Measurements are as follows:
11 3/4 " x 8 1/4 " ( for the base of the box )
long side score at
2 3/4" , 5 1/2",8 1/4" & 11 "
short side score at
short side score at
2 3/4" 5 5/8"
6 " x 11 3/4 " ( for the lid of the box)
long side score at
2 3/4" , 5 1/2",8 1/4" & 11 "
short side score at
1 5/8" & 3 1/4"
7 1/4 " x 11" ( for the insert)
long side score at
2 5/8",5 1/4", 7 7/8" &10 1/2 "
short side score at
3 5/8 "
Make sure that you stamp your top of the lid on the 2nd section that is closer to the 11" score line as this will later be the flap that holds the shape together.
In step 3 in the picture make sure you have stamped your top of the lid on the 2nd partition to the small flap on the left!
In step 6 make sure you cut off the left flap that is shorter than the one above it.
Wedge all the shorter flaps of the insert as they will fold in nicely and flush when wedged.
Don´t
forget to also add scor tape to the flap on the right as seen in step 7, but the scor tape goes to the other side of the card stock!
in step 9 you repeat what you already did with the white insert to glue it together. Please refer back to the picture above or to step 14 if unsure how to do it.
attach the sentiment with some dimensionals to allow the lid to open and close.
Et voilá, your cute little box is finished!
