The ChriCracHex !

Good afternoon my friends,

i am pleased to show you my newest Studio 8 creation , a truly huge Christmas Cracker box of epic proportions.
It`s 7 1/2" high and almost 5" in diameter, plus it features a hexagonal box in the top section that is 1" high and offers enough space for some treats or jewellry!
This box in itself is already a gift and surely flatters any gift that will be presented in it.
And it is only made from A4 Card stock entirely, too!
This project is suitable for beginners, too and it combines different textures with a unique design. The mirror card stock adds a festive touch, the heat embossing is silver glitter that cross-links to the festive theme. The lid has a embossed white panel layered on the mirror card stock to enhance contrast to the die cut star shape at the top of it... there is loads of detail o discover here and it is so much fun making the box, you probably cannot wait to get started, can you?
There`s a little video about the box here, so you can see how everything works:

The tutorial comes in a PDF file with loads of detailed pictures and easy to follow step by step instructions, and you can purchase the tutorial for his project here:

Thank you very much for visiting today and happy crafting!

The Box Bomb!

Good evening folks,

i finished this exploding box today and am quite pleased at how it has come out!
It features 4 little mini card sets, all sitting in flush fitting boxes in the center of the cube.
The handmade envelopes repeat the patterns of the designer paper used throughout the whole project.

The 4 sides of the cube all have a pocket, where i have slid in 4 little cards that close up to a flower like shape and hold 4 private and individual messages.
I have used loads of different stamp sets here to create them, it will take me some time to list them all in the shopping list.
This card is decorated with handmade foamiran flowers on he lid, i used red and yellow foamiran and coloured the edges with the cherry cobbler red and the calypso coral ink pads to achieve the ombre look on the petals.

I also made the two guardian angel charms by hand and added them to the flower bouquet on top of the lid, securing them in the bow i tied from the cherry cobbler ribbon.
Here`s my little video about the box:

I make these bespoke exploding boxes by order, too so if you are interested, please feel free to request a custom order by Email to JoJoCrafty@freenet.de/

Alternatively, you can purchase the tutorial here:

Cake Gift Box made to order

Good evening dear friends,

today i made this cake gift box for a customer who was in need of a festive box to gift her home made cake to a dear friend.

I sized the box at 6" x 7", 2 1/2" high from red card stock and added a happy birthday sentiment , die cut from golden mirror card stock as well as a few flowers, die cut from the botanical gardens die set, too.

The insert to the bottom of the box was cut from holographic mirror card stock, and is less  likely to soak through quickly as normal card stock.

The box has turned out to look very elegant as the red and gold is a lovely combination and my customer was over the moon with this box.

I do create all sorts of gift boxes and create bespoke cards, too.
If you are in need of a thoughtful condolence card, or a jubilee and anniversary card, come to Studio 8 at Allendale Forge Studios. I am happy to create your bespoke card immediately and you can wait downstairs in our Cafe whilst i finish it off for you!

Thanks for dropping by today and have a good evening!
Bye for now!

Advent Calendar with a Star Box on Top!

Good evening folks,

today, i want to show you my newest creation, a re-usable advent calendar with 24 cube boxes and one larger star shaped box for the 25th.

I took inspiration from Jessica Zeek -Hoeoek who posted a picture of her calendar which also consisted of a stack of 24 cubes and the star shaped box.
Overall there will be probably dozens of crafters out there who have made more or less similar advent calendars so credit to all of them generally.
I did not invent stacking 24 cube boxes in circles to a christmas tree shape.

Anyways...

the boxes are made from extra thick white card stock for sturdyness and the DSP i used was the 6" x 6" warmth & cheer  stack.

The die cut star on top of the starshaped box was die cut from the Starlight Thinlits Die Set and i used holographic mirror card stock in silver from Tesco for it.

Its stuck to the top with the help of a toothpick!

I die cut all the numbers for each and every day from red and green holographic mirror card stock too and i used the handheld circle punches 2 1/4" and 2" for the backgrounds.

This project is not too difficult to make except the star shaped box at the top and i am currently working on the tutorial for the box.

The 24 individual cube boxes measure 2 1/4" squared and are very simple to make.

I love how it has come out and these Advent Calendars will be available to order from my etsy store as well as for purchase in the Allendale Forge Studios at Studio8!
Feel free to drop me a visit and have a look at all my other stuff, too.

Thanks for your patience, i hope i will soon be back to normal as i was moving in to Studio 8, had a lot of orders to make with a deadline so far and on top my laptop gave up its ghost and i lost all data and spent a week recovering passwords and logins after i managed to get myself a new one.

Thanks for your patince and for dropping by tonight, bye for nw
