Good evening@ all,
tonight , i would like to present my altered glossy box!
I am a subscriber to glossy box and every month, these beautiful and quite sturdy boxes arrive, filled with loads of beauty products, samples and treats.
I never throw these boxes away because they are ideal for wrapping up a gift or create some sort of organizer or storage item!
So i still had a pack of the retired DSP and decided to create a decorative storage box for my bathroom from it, and this is what i did:
I first of all measured all my sachets i have collected over the months, that are some sort of facial mask or facial rejuvenator, and selected the paper sizes for the envelopes needed.
These face masks come in all shapes and sizes and are usually a single usage sachet and they look so untidy when just piled on top of each other in my shelf...
so i first created my 13 envelopes from the DSP with the help of the envelope punch board, and used the curvy corner trio punch and magnets for the closures.
Next thing was to glue my box together in a way that the lid acts as support. I glued it together and then decorated it with my DSP before adding the metal embellishments to the front and sides and 4 corner feet . too.
I was tempted to die cut some flowers and add to the box but then thought the box is quite dark and bold and some fluffy flowers wouldn´t suit it... maybe you wanna let me know what you think about it.. with or without flowers?
I quite like it the way it is now ,it currently holds 13 different facial masks in the envelopes and still has space to take some more... it will sit in my bathroom on the shelf and all my mask samples are in one place and it´s a bit like an advent calendar because you cannot see what you get when you make your pick for the day!
I hope you like my little project here which is easy to make and upcycle an old box to new beauty.
Thanks for dropping by and have a good evening
JoJo xx
