Dome shaped wedding favour gift boxes

Good evening
today i want to show you my version of a dome shaped little wedding favour box!

I used the retired " en francais" background stamp for this design, but the box can of course be done with any other stamped design, just get creative!

You will need two pieces of card stock, one is 7 1/2 " x  2 3/4 " and the second piece is 7 1/2 " x 2".
I decided to stamp my larger piece of card stock with the background stamp at this point.

Score the smaller piece on the long side at 2 3/4 " on both ends and score it at the middle( that would be the 1" mark ) for 1 1/4 " down only. Do not sore all the way down, just for 1 1/4 " and do it on both short ends.
Score the larger piece on the long side at 2 3/4 " on both ends,
then score it on the short side at 3/8th " on both ends and score it at the middle( that would be the 1 3/8" " mark ) for 1 1/4 " down only. Do not sore all the way down, just for 1 1/4 " and do it on both short ends.

Now score from the 1 1/4" score line end  upwards to both corners ,using a ruler to guide you.
This will create a triangle at both ends of your card stock. When scoring the triangle, make sure your triangle on the bigger piece of card stock is inside the 3/8th score line marks on both sides, because these two score lines create the flaps that glue the box together.

Now use your scissors to cut the middle section in a way that you get rid of the two side flaps only for the middle section of your bigger piece of card stock.
Burnish and fold all score lines, gently pushing the triangles inwards to pre-shape the dome.

Add glue/score tape to the middle section of  your larger piece of card stock and glue the smaller piece of card stock with its middle section to it, forming a plus sign shape.

Add score tape to the side flaps of the larger piece, put the box together.
Push the triangles gently inwards, until the box closes well.

Now use your smallest circle punch to punch a hole to each side of each piece of card stock.. right in the triangles as close to the border of the card stock as possible, so overall you will punch 8 holes , 2 on each side of your box.
Feed thin ribbon through the holes, starting from the outside , feeding it through to the inside of the box, and back to the outside right through the next neighbouring hole, until you have fed the ribbon through all 8 holes. Now gently push the triangles downwards, tightening the ribbon, until the box is fully closed, tie a bow, and your box is finished.

Below, you will find the list of products i used.
If you find it difficult to follow the written instructions and would like me to do a videotutorial for this box , just leave a comment!
Thsns for dropping by and enjoy crafting these cute little boxes.

Have a good evening
