Good afternoon everybody,

today, i worked on a waterfall card for a good friend of mine who just recently has had very bad news. It was only last week she was told she was clear from breast cancer, only to find out a few days later that apparently, she has got a brain tumor and a tumor in her lungs ,too.

Now this is heartbreaking news and i was thinking of a card to give to her.
The situation isn´t easy to find acceptable sentiments, as her diagnose surely is terminally ill now and what can you tell a good friend in this situation?

I decided to just  tell her exactly that. She´s a good friend and i am glad i know her.
I chose her favourite colours for her card, which is black and beige, and used loads of basic pearls embellishments as she loves pearls, too.

To the outstanding person this card might look a bit dull and boring due to the colour scheme chosen, but she will know immediately that it´s a homage to her excellent taste of dressing herself.
She´s a lady in her 60ies , very distinguished and sophisticated, always wearing classy understatements.

Actually, Victoria Beckham´s clothes line is a 100% match to her taste.

So this card has a sad occasion and is very personal, and i hope you all can see what i was trying to achieve when creating it.

There´s no sense in wishing a terminally ill person good health and a long life, as in their situation they would most  likely feel offended by it.

So i tried to focus on the positive, which is, we are good friends and i am glad to know her.

I worked all day to figure out my template for the waterfall as i wanted them to be hiding  under each other so you would only see the first panel. Most waterfall cards don´t work like that,  their panels are layered in a way you can see all of them at least partially.

I am also quite pleased with my magnetic closure i managed to hide  under my front panel, so it does not disturb the design of it.

You can watch a short video of how the waterfall works here

If you fancy a video tutorial, drop me a comment, i might be doing one on this one soon then.

The product list will be posted below in due course.

Thanks for dropping by and have a nice evening
