Treasure Chest by Crafty JoJo!

Hello my dear friends,

i am in full swing altering my empty glossy boxes.. this is the second make i created by putting two boxes an top of each other,  adding hinges and a closure to create my quite large treasure chest!

I just love the fresh florals DSP and the berry burst goes so well with the pink of the glossy boxes, so i used powder pink to create my straps and some of my  die cut ovals.
The metal embellishments are all from www.aliexpress.com, including the corner feet i have added here.
I used a doily die to cut my medallion that sits on top of the chest, using berry burst card stock, then used the Eastern Palace die set to die cut the white embellishment that sits below my stamped medallion, made with the make a medallion stamp set.
Its all layered on dimensionals to add depth and texture.
The oval shapes that hold the lion head as well as the oval filigree metal bits are die cut from powder pink  and white card stock, using the stitched shapes framelits die set.
I also used dimenionals to layer these.
As you can see in the pictures, the chest is very spacey and allows to hold all three albums i made earlier on!
I love my brand new treasure chest and because i still have about 40 more glossy boxes, i can make plenty more of these and i know i will!

The box itself is decorated with the plain DSP on the outside as well a the inside to cover up the split pins i have used to put the metal embellishments in place with.
I really really love this treasure chest and i am going to keep it for storage of my gatefold albums!

I hope you love it as much as i do and if you fancy a tutorial, let me know!
Thanks for dropping by today
